Howdy! I'm Brandon and next to me is Steve. I'm a second-year Creative Media Production student at Massey. I like to call myself a master of my craft but I'm not there yet, however, I'm super proud of how far I've come. But where did I come from I hear you ask as you read my super gripping about me section? America! Arizona to be specific, my family moved here in 2006 after my father came to New Zealand multiple times for photography. Growing up I was always surrounded by cameras, we would go on long backpacking trips just so my father could get shots of insane landscapes. So I begrudgingly learnt how to use a camera from a young age.
Throughout my early school years, I picked up my dads camera and learnt everything any 16-year-old needs to know about photography. But that's not what I'm interested in, I LOVE the post-production side of creative work. Give me a photo and I'll colour-correct that baby into something beautiful. Need some sick VFX work? I got you.
Personally, my own artwork focuses a lot on the overall "story" and emotions that I create along the way. I'm a sucker for depressive heart-wrenching songs, movies, artwork ect. Due to this, mental health and the journey of expressing yourself and your mental battle is what drives me to keep creating. I've always felt like a bit of an outcast growing up but my artwork, especially my clothing brand helps me feel at home and that people are interested in what I create.
